Welcome!

Our local Sociologists for Women in Society (SWS) chapter is an informal group of students and faculty that meets a couple of times a semester for discussions, presentations, and socializing. Meetings typically center on a theme and are held in the evenings off campus. Women and men from non-Sociology departments and from the community (e.g., non-profits, activist organizations, government) are also welcome.

Florida State University's Department of Sociology is proud to have earned the Seal of Excellence in both Faculty Gender Equity and Gender Scholarship from the National Chapter of SWS.

For more information about the Tallahassee chapter of SWS or to be added to the e-mail list, please contact Anne Barrett at abarrett@fsu.edu or Jesse Klein at jrk06e@my.fsu.edu. Or you can subscribe to the email list at: https://lists.fsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/sws-tallahassee
